India’s early exit in T20 World cup!!!

India’s early exit in T20 World cup:
Team India, the unexpected champions of 2007- T20 world cup, unexpectedly flushed out of theT20- WC contest 2009. It’s is a disappointing story. It was said during IPL 2, IPL is a good ground for Indian Players to express their Talents, to gain Confidence and Spirit. Now the story line moves in different direction. Even in IPL the young players like Yuvraj, Dhoni, Gambir didn’t perform well whereas the big guns like Sachin, Saurav, Kumble proved, they are the master of cricket irrespective of the format and age.....

Are Indian players’ fatigue? I don’t think so. Not only Indian players played in IPL. Many international players, who are a part of IPL, played reasonably well in T20 WC.
So what it could be, Lack of planning, Overconfidence? Or Lack of good captaincy? Or pressure? Or Lack of coordination? There are many more to add in this list. Even before the T20-WC Indian team had a fight with the media, still it follows. Players were not interested in showing their face to the media. So what would be it?
They faced West Indies in the first match of Super 8 and they were in no mood to stop Mr. Bravo’s counter attack, they lost the match. The second match was against the host England and we lost that match also, we all know that match was in our Pocket and Team India dropped that out.
We went to India’s 3rd match against SA. It was full house. Almost around 15,000 supporters for India, believe me it is true, even I was not able to believe my eyes.
I will share my experience on that day in my next blog…
So what was the performance?
Team India bowled well, but the fielding was not up to the standards. They showed poor attitude, no dedication in the field. To be frank the ball was not sticking in the hands of the fielders! Great fielders like Yuvraj, Raina were not able to stop the balls coming straight to their hands. That was really a disgusting sight. In the previous matches also they dropped some easy catches, which would be an easy one even for a school kid. As Dhoni said after the Match they are not up to the standards and they have to lift their standard.
I found out what they are missing. They are really missing the “Game Spirit”. They are overconfident and they never had or imagined Plan B, they are addicted to Plan A only. Moreover, the Captain’s show was the worst of all, both in batting and behind the wickets. During batting, the opening pair made the ship to sail steadily on sea but the middle order made the ship to sink! Their batting displayed, they don’t bothered about losing the game! Not good right? Not good at all! Irresponsible shots at the verge of the game dropped Team India on back foot. Even in the match against England Yusuf Pathan brought the came to the wire not the great Dhoni, I think Dhoni was practicing for the Test Match!!!
In the match against SA, Yuvi and Bhajji tried their best to pull the side in to the winning line; they stood as the last hope for India. They both tried their best, but they were not able to do their best without the support of other players. Bhajji played really great; I think Dhoni has to learn, how to bat in T20 from Bhajji.
Team India has faced many worst defeats in the past history. They lost many series; games in the past fighting hard till the end, showing the true spirit of the game. But this team lacks that “True Spirit”. They are playing as if for fun. We the 15,000 encouraged the team to the maximum we can, what was the outcome? Throat pain! and, disappointment. They have to play for the people whom are supporting them even at the worst situation. They have to consider the game seriously. I think the cool headed Dhoni (some called he is no more cool headed) have to add some heat to his head!
